How to Use the Class Special Instructions Field








The special instructions field on the class instance and class activity screens allows users to add details for a class that will be sent via email to a customer after it has been purchased online. The intent is to leverage this feature to send details about joining a virtual class after the customer has been signed up. Users can choose to propagate the special instructions text from the class instance down to the class activity level. If the class sold is a roster class, the instructions will come from the class instance and for drop-ins it will come from the class activity.

Step-by-step guide



Using the RMS classes module “special instructions” section.

  1. Open the class instance and enter the needed information to the special instructions field.

     

  2. Save the change (elect if you want the information copied down to the class activities).

  3. Modify your “Sales Receipt” SendGrid email template to use the %SpecialInstructions% parameter.

  4. When a class is purchased online the customer will receive the special instructions as part of the emailed class sales receipt.

     

Users can enter up to a total of 2,000 characters in the special instructions box.
