Adjusting service credit multiplier amounts
OMS admin users have the ability to customize the way service credits are applied. Service credits are set at the territory level. Service credit multipliers are used by OMS to apply time changes to records.
Information
It is possible to configure the service penalty credit to double the time entered. Under Settings>Service Credits you will be able to define the impact of each credit. Credits can be positive or negative and can set to apply to only certain aspects of an officer's record (like Allowance, Long Service, Retirement, or Reviews). The service credit numbers can be treated as a multiplier on the amount of time entered on the service credit. If you change the "Service Penalty" credit to show a multiplier of "-2.00" it will double the time entered. When the "Service Penalty" credit is set to "-2.00" it would make a 1-year service credit a 2-year negative penalty.
New service credit types can be added via Settings>Lookup Tables>Service Types.
Steps to adjust:
Admin users can click Settings>Service Credits
Select the desired service credit
Click the edit button (far right column)
Set the credit multiplier amount
Positive = increase in time served
0.50 = half time
1.00 = full time
2.00 = doubled time
Negative = decrease in time served
-0.50 = half time
-1.00 = full time
-2.00 = doubled time
