How to Configure the Kiosk








The Kiosk configuration screen allows users to set up the different devices and printers they have attached to the machine. This can be accessed by clicking the Menu button in the top right corner of the Kiosk, then “Configure Kiosk” in the menu options.


Devices

There are a few devices listed on the left side of the configuration screen:

  • Credit Card Device

  • Barcode Scanner

  • Display Pole

For all Devices listed here, users can use the toggle switch to turn them on or off.

Once they are turned on, the user can select which Serial Port the device is connected to.

The currently selected Serial Port will always show at the top of the list.


Printers

Printers are listed on the right side of the configuration screen:

  • Receipt Printer

  • Remote Printer

  • Card Printer

The user can use the toggle switches to select which printers they are using.

Once a printer has been selected, the user can choose which printer they want those receipts sent to.

Each printer has its own options that can be turned on or off with a check box. The user can also set the Key Command for each option.


Saving

The save button will only be enabled when changes have been made to the configuration screen. When clicked, a dialog will be shown, informing the user that they will need to restart the Kiosk for the changes to take effect.

Note: Clicking “Okay” here will not Exit the Kiosk automatically. The user can manually exit the Kiosk and restart it to see the new changes in effect, or they can continue using the Kiosk with the previous configuration.
