CommConn Release Notes - 3/28/2023
Release Notes - March, 2023 (2023-03)
Release Date: March 28th, 2023
Community Connect Kiosk
Fixed an issue in the sales cart that would incorrectly show the dates and times of drop-ins or single visits if multiple instances of the same activity were added to the cart. This issue would result in the cart showing the date and time of the most recently added activity on all of the instances of that same activity in the cart and the printed receipt. This has been corrected so that the dates and times are shown correctly for each individual activity. (Note that this was an issue with how the data was displayed, but the correct activities were actually sold.)
The Kiosk will no longer charge a registration fee if a customer is purchasing a new plan while still within the grace period of an expired plan. This is true even if the customer is purchasing an entirely different plan.
The “Only Available” filter in the Program Guide now defaults to “off” so that all classes within the date range are show by default. This change affects only the Program Guide, and not the Daily Agenda or Sales Module.
Fixed an issue that was preventing a drop-in class from being sold once the class had started. A drop-in class can now be sold up until the class has ended in order to allow for participants who show up late and still want to purchase even though the class has begun.
Community Connect Mobile
If an error were to occur when saving customer data in the mobile app, the error message will now float on top so that it is not hidden behind other controls on the screen.
See below for other changes coming soon!
Online Sales
In the near future, credit card processing in Online Sales will be changing from using an internal product called Online Payment Portal to using an Elavon product called Converge.
The purpose of this change is to consolidate all credit card processing under Elavon, as the existing Online Payment Portal will soon be retired.
Once implemented, the primary difference for your customers is that the page to which they are redirected to enter their credit card number will look a bit different.
Using Converge, the centers will have the ability to customize the colors and logos on the checkout page to help keep the page properly branded.
No other aspects of Online Sales other than card processing will change as a result of this migration.
The Community Connect development team has been working with Elavon over the last couple of months, and the project is roughly 65% complete at this time.
More information will be coming soon!
