Managing Officer Moves Proposals

The officer moves summary screen provides users with an area to create, view and manage existing proposals. Users will find proposals listed in several categories depending on their level of access. Another aspect that users should keep in mind is that before users start creating their move proposals the new move dates should be added (see the end of the article).

Unlinked Proposal Users (e.g.: command heads):

• Create unlinked proposals

• See the following categories:

  • My Unlinked Proposals

  • Public Proposals

  • Hidden Proposals

Open

Linked Proposal Users (e.g.: admin):

• Create unlinked & linked proposals

• See all categories:

  • My Unlinked Proposals

  • Public Proposals

  • Hidden Proposals

  • My Linked Proposals

  • Ready for Review

  • Proposals In-Progress

The proposal categories on the officer moves summary screen each provide a specific purpose:

My Unlinked Proposals

• Displays all of the unlinked proposals created by the user

  • All unlinked proposals will be listed unless they have been deleted or hidden

• Who and what will users see?

  • ALL moves users can see this category 

  • Users can only access proposals they created

     

Public Proposals Category

• The purpose of a public proposal is to allow collaboration between users

• Displays all unlinked proposals that have been flagged as "Public"

  • All users will be able to see proposals listed in this category

• Who and what will users see?

  • ALL moves users can see this category

  • Users can access ALL user proposals marked "Public"

     

Hidden Proposals Category

• The hidden proposal category is a collection of archived proposals

• Displays all hidden proposals (clicking or unclicking the "eye" icon)

  • Admin users will see all hidden proposals

  • Non-admin users will only see their hidden proposals AND any public unlinked proposal

• Who and what will users see?

  • ALL moves users can see this category

  • Unlinked users can access their own proposals AND any public unlinked proposal

  • Linked users can access ALL proposals

     

My Linked Proposals Category

• Displays all of the linked proposals created by the user

  • All linked proposals will be listed unless they have been deleted or hidden

• Who and what will users see?

  • Only ADMIN moves users can see this category 

  • Users can only access proposals they created

     

Ready for Review Category

• The purpose of the category is to allow admin users to see completed unlinked proposals

  • When commands finish proposing changes the proposals will be listed here

• Displays all unlinked proposals that have been flagged as "Ready for Review"

• Who and what will users see?

  • Only ADMIN moves users can see this category

  • Users can access ALL user proposals marked "Ready for Review"

     

Proposals In-Progress Category

• The purpose of the category is to allow admin users to see proposals for all users that have not been finished
  
  

  • This will help admins see what proposals are currently being worked on

• Displays all linked and unlinked proposals for other users

  • Will not show:

    • Ready for Review or Public unlinked proposals

    • Executed linked proposals

• Who and what will users see?

  • Only ADMIN moves users can see this category

  • Users can access ALL user proposals

     

Setup Move Dates

Go to the Settings → Lookup Tables → Officer Moves Dates screen users can set the farewell and move dates that both linked and unlinked proposals will use.

• Move Date value

  • This date will be the start date for all new appointments

  • This date must be greater than the farewell date value

• Farewell Date value

  • This date will be used as the farewell date in reports

  • This date must be less than the move date value

Tip:

Admin users can also leverage several alerts located on the landing page to see when there are new proposals that need action.
