What is Symphony?
Symphony builds upon the existing foundation of WebManager 4 with tools that make it easy to build websites using no-code modules. The result is a robust infrastructure maintained by IHQ paired with a dynamic content editor that is constantly evolving to meet the ever changing needs of users.
The Symphony framework is constructed around these two entities:
Local Websites
A Local Site exists for every DHQ, corps, location, program, or metro area within a Territory
Local Site updates are made via editable content modules on each page
No coding is necessary by Local Site Admins
Overall look & feel are maintained territory-wide while still allowing content customization so that the location’s message is clearly communicated
Conductor
The Conductor is where the framework for all Symphony sites is defined
Local Sites and custom content are created, and branded images are uploaded and categorized for Local Site use in the Conductor
Global site settings, analytics code, and alerts are also managed here
Special content can be syndicated from the Conductor to Local Sites
Conductor allows territory-wide campaigns to be easily created for promoting seasonal events like recruiting Red Kettle volunteers, or driving donations for specific causes like natural disasters
Putting it all together
The Territorial Conductor creates and shares content with the Divisional Conductors.
The Divisional Conductors have the option of forwarding that THQ Content along to their Local Websites.
The Divisional Conductors also create and share their own content with their Local Websites.
Depending on how the content was shared, it will either display instantly on the Local Websites, or the Local Website Admins will have the opportunity to modify and display the content themselves.
