Divisional (DHQ) Conductors are Conductor Users whose scope is limited to a specific Division. These Conductors can syndicate content to local sites, share content with THQ, and approve THQ content for local site syndication.

Instructions

How to set up a DHQ Conductor

  1. Request that your IT Department add the user to the WebManager_Symphony_Conductor LDAP or AD group.

  2. Request that your IT Department search for the Webmanager Division LDAP or AD group: INTLAPP_WM_DIV_EMP (where EMP is the division code).

    1. If there is no such group in your system, request that your IT Department add the group.

  3. Request that your IT Department add the user to the Webmanager Division LDAP or AD group above.

  4. Grant the user access to the conductor site:

    1. Go to https://webmanager.salvationarmy.org/[YOUR CONDUCTOR URL ALIAS]/admin/site_access

    2. Click Grant Access

    3. Select Administrator from the Access Level dropdown

    4. Search for the user

      1. If the user is in the list, select the user and click Grant Access

      2. If the user is not in the list, click Add New User and add the user

        1. Then select the user and click Grant Access

  5. Set the DHQ Conductor for the Division

    1. Go to your Conductor > Sites page

    2. Select the three vertical dots () next to the division you wish to add the conductor to

    3. Select DHQ Conductors from the popup menu

    4. Click Add User

    5. Search for the new Conductor

    6. Select the user and click Add

The LDAP/AD groups are vital to ensure your DHQ Conductor has access – and only has access – to all the sites in their Division.
