These instructions also apply to a new Conductor group for a Territory already using Symphony, such as the ARC department for USE or the Kroc department for USW.

Set up a new Conductor Site

Go to https://webmanager.salvationarmy.org/management/sites/create to begin the site creation process.

The Site Title should identify the site as a conductor site, ex: USW Conductor, USW Kroc Conductor, etc.

The Site URL must end in "_conductor", ex: usw_conductor, usw_kroc_conductor, etc.

Select the Symphony Skin, Language, Territory and other info:


Currently, the only supported language is English.


Save the new site and navigate to the newly created site's admin area, ex: https://webmanager.salvationarmy.org/norway_conductor/admin/

Configure Conductor Site

Once in the newly create conductor admin, you should be redirected to the Settings page.

Fill in all required fields. If you click save, you'll see which fields are required. 

The editor assumes there will be a THQ site for the conductor, but if there's not, you can enter N/A in each of the THQ Master Site fields.

Currently, the only supported address format is US format (city, state, zip).

Currently, the Location Search and Get Help pages need to be set up manually.

Seed Content

Currently, the Seed Content JSON needs to be set up manually, there's no default.

Media Library

Currently, the Media Library needs to be populated manually, there are no default images.

Giving Toolbar

Currently, the Giving Toolbar needs to be set up manually, there's no default.

Help Content

Currently, the Help Content videos need to be set up manually, the USW videos aren't the default.




Adding Sites

Once the previous Conductor properties are set up, the Conductor Setup is done and Site Creation can begin.
