Why does the appointment grid show the wrong rank?

When reviewing the appointment list for a person record there could be times where the rank displayed next to the appointment is incorrect.

Response

When OMS determines which ranks to apply to the appointment list, it will only pull the ranks that are already effective (today is equal to or later than the promotion due date). In the case below, the rank of "Lieutenant" has not become effective (because it is not yet 6/14/20) so only the "Cadet" rank is considered in the appointment grid. As of 6/14/20, though, only the rank "Lieutenant" will display on that appointment line.
