OMS Updates October 2018
User Interface
- Users now have the ability to flag a child relationship as "special needs" - Per the NAOMS enhancement requirements the Family screen now has several new flags for child relationships. Users can choose "Special Needs" or "Special Medical Coverage". These come with a new permission, that when enabled for a user will display these labels on the officer summary screen.
- Add the Household Allowance option on the allowances screen - Per the NAOMS enhancement requirements, users can now save a household allowance amount to an active officer's record. This new field allows users to save a custom amount and returns the information on allowance reports.
- Updated the list of territories in the Contacts Retired Territory of Residence field - The retired territory of residence field has been updated to list all TSA territories instead of only OMS territories. It also now has the option "Applies to Spouse" so that users can save the change to the spouse record.
- Fixed issues with relationships on the family screen - Users will now be able to add or remove any relationship without getting an error.
- Added new service credit type "Envoy Service" - This new credit will help users offset the length of service on records where individuals spent time serving as envoys.
- Updated the Officer Summary screen to include the internal ID No - The ID No field, located on the personal info screen, will now be displayed on the officer summary if a value has been set.
- Updated the survey assignment wizard - The survey manage assignments screen has an "Assign" tool that was updated to offer users the option to include retired officers in the assignment results. If a user wants retired officers included they just need to check the "retired" box and add the results to the invite.
- Fixed an issue with the survey "completed" flag - A fix was deployed so that surveys correctly show as "completed" when users have answered all mandatory questions.
Reports
- Created the Retired Territory of Residence report - This new report will look at the contacts field "Retired Territory of Residence". For more information, users can review the report guide.
- Updated the Child Listing report - The report was updated to display the new
- Updated the Allowance Change report base allowance amount - The report was updated to reference base allowance data for the territory running the report rather than the base allowance data set for the officer's home territory.
- Updated Field Summary report - The report was not correctly counting the dependents when users used the "drill-in" feature of the report.
- Updated the Basic Service & Birth Dates report - The report was updated to return all officer's serving in the users territory.
- Updated the Survey Results by Answer report - The report was updated to allow users to select "text" questions. This will allow users to get a list of officers along with their custom responses to any text question.
