Users can add new users whenever they need to from the Settings menu

and select User Security. 

Each OMS user will need a few things in order for their access to work properly.

  1. They need to be added in the territories Azure AD (only used to control access, not permissions).

  2. They need to have an OMS user with a custom permissions set (instructions below).

  3. They need to be listed as a user in the IPS system (created by OMS when a new user is added - set as "editor" by default).

Important: Adding a new user in OMS Next will NOT give them access to IPS.

Instructions

  1. Open Settings>User Security.

  1. Before adding a new user, enter their name in the "User"

  1. field to see if they already have a user as it may be inactive.

  2. If nothing is found, click "Add New User" at the top of the screen.

  3. Enter the user's entire email address into the "Login Email" field.

    1. It would be best to copy and paste the email to prevent typos.

  1. Enter the user's name

  1. and click "Add".

  2. If applicable, set the user's command filter (by default, users will have access to ALL commands).

    1. If set to one specific command they will be limited to only see those actively serving in that command.

  3. Select the user's role (this will apply the specific permissions set up for the role).

  2. Verify the specific permissions that were pulled in from the role.

  3. Modify the permissions as necessary for the individual user.

  4. Click "Save".

Info

The best way to add users is by copying their email address and pasting that into the "Login Email" field. If they are not found then either the email is wrong or IT needs to create the email addressincorrect the user will NOT be able to log into OMS.
